Where to surf in Nusa Dua

Mushroom Rock

surf break: reef
Mushroom rock in Nusa dua is great for beginners and intermediate surfers when the swell is mid sized. The wave works best during mid- to high-tide, offering when the swell is small easy righthanders, great for practicing your pop up and angling the surfboard. When booking a surf lesson with Hawaii surf Bali in Nusa dua, we will bring the equipment to the surfspot, we recommend doing double sessions here since it is a bit further away from Uluwatu.
Blackstone

Blackstone is a tricky wave only working at its' best in certain swells and specific tides. It is a lefthander with steep takeoff, for intermediate surfers it is good when sitting on the inside catching the wave from the shoulder. In front of the main Blackstone surf break is perfect for beginners in mid-tide. We will take you to blackstone to surf when the swell is perfect for the surf spot, perfect spot to improve surfing on the left on a soft wave.
Mengiat

surf break: reef
Mengiat is a left and a right hander, works in mid to high tide. Perfect for all levels, especially beginners and intermediate surfers when the swell is medium size. The surf spot in Nusa Dua can handle bigger swell, good for advanced surfers but in that case the current will be strong.
Geger

swell size: 4-7ft
surf break: reef
Geger surf spot consists of 3 points, offering mostly lefthanders which are great for intermediate and advanced surfers depending on the swell size. We bring our guests here when the swell is mid sized, or if advanced level when the swell is bigger.
Nico or Nikko beach

Nico or Nikko beach is located next to Geger Left, it is a fast righthander offering surf for all levels. For advanced surfers there is the possibility to practice barrels when the swell is bigger, and for intermediate and beginners it is the perfect spot to get more comfortable on the board and learning how to ride a right hander. You need to be able to angle the surfboard when taking off to stay in front of the wave, so for intermediate level it is great practice, for learning how to improve the pop up.
Pandawa

intermediate & advanced level
swell size: 2-5ft
surf break: reef
Pandawa is located on the south coast of the Bukit, meaning it picks up swell on even the smaller days. The wave breaks both left and right, with the left offering a longer wave. This surf spot is best during mid tide, getting fast when low and not breaking during hightide. We bring our intermediate and advanced students to Pandawa, to practice doing maneuvers and to build more confidence in more advanced waves.
